My journey into the crystal world:

From an early age onwards, I, Hilde Joosen, founder of Pure Crystalline, was fascinated by life, which initially led to my master degree in biology (University of Louvain, 1990). During my studies, I already had a first brief (scientific) contact with the crystal world.

After my studies, I first worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years in clinical research (medical writing); the search for new drugs that, before they can be developed into new drugs, first must be available in … crystalline form! Attention to detail, being able to think and work both analytically  and synthetically, a strong ability to work in a team, international cooperation, and numerous quality-oriented and other trainings complemented my skills; during my international travels for work, I also had the opportunity to visit some places in Europe and US. In the meantime, my “alternative" search had also started outside of the business world, part of which I introduced within the company, as I became a pioneer in the Better Balance, Better Business project that had just started running in the company.

In the initial period of my “alternative" journey, I recognized parts of myself again while reading the book “The monk and the philosopher” (by Jean-François Revel and Matthieu Ricard); especially the resonance with Matthieu Ricard was striking, as he has a degree in biology too, and then evolved into Buddhism, a philosophy that felt very familiar to me. That’s why, in that period, I familiarized myself (again) with transcendental meditation and tantra; mainly based on the ancient wisdom from Buddhism, but basically stripped of any form of limitation by any system. Later, I also attended a course in Total Biology, in which disease is not approached from the level of its symptoms, but the causes, explanations and meaning of being ill are traced at a deeper (soul) level. During one of the breaks in that training, I met a lady who told me: “You are not a regular person, are you! You are going to make a difference in the crystal world!" And so my journey into the crystal world got a real boost! Similarly, soon after, I met a lady at one of the fairs in which I participated, who started talking about her experiences and work with crystal skulls. At that time, I had no connection with crystal skulls yet; but, (subconsciously) inspired by the talk, I started searching for information about the topic on the internet. A few weeks later, “incidentally”, the world-famous crystal skull carver, Leandro, was in Europe for the first time, so I made a first selection of crystal skulls, not really knowing what I actually had to do with it, but "it felt like I ought to do something with them"? That’s how I discovered that, at the fairs, I met more and more “soul family” through offering the crystal skulls, people with whom contacts went deeper than with the average customer.

Tibetan skulls calling me:

A little later, I became “itchy to find a Tibetan skull” (that was apparently “calling me”), that's when I found my old friend, an old Tibetan skull that I baptized Prajnaparamita (the Mother of all Buddhas; representing Wisdom), again. Later on, also an old Mongolian skull, named Tenzin, crossed my path; Tenzin (which is also the first name of the current Dalai Lama) represents Compassion, so the 2 core principles of Buddhism, Wisdom & Compassion, were setting the core tone again in my life! More recently, a few additional Tibetan skulls found their way back to a meanwhile diverse "skull team" to support my work. In particular one of the most recent additions, Maitreya, another old Tibetan skull, recently took central stage, and has been orchestrating things to put my next steps on my path and to fully align with the core essence of Buddhism again; Being the Observer of all things, generating boddhicitta (bringing in the Buddha mind of enlightenment; bringing loving kindness and compassion to the heart to benefit all sentient beings), with full focus on selflessness, interrelatedness and compassion. Maitreya is know in Tibetan as  the Lord of Love (loving kindness) or the Noble Loving One. He is considered by some to be the future Buddha. Others consider Maitreya a metaphor of mastership and aid for the Bodhisattvas of the Earth: each individual can embody the qualities of Maitreya because he is a metaphor for Love/compassion; it is in this spirit that Maitreya, the crystal skull, and the rest of the core team of crystal skulls here are inviting us to UNITE. We are Love, we are One! And that's how Project Lotus was born...!

Pure Crystalline and Awareness:

Over time, also trainings in aromatherapy, massage work and “Cosmic Healing” complemented my skills, and I also added my passion for spiritual art to the whole.

The quest for the deeper essence within myself has been (and still is) an interesting journey to evolve from conditioned thinking towards sensing and intuitively knowing (omniscience) again: by consciously and lovingly Being (One) with oneself again, one learns to also consciously and lovingly Be (One) with the other (human, crystal, animal, plant, …) again, in unity and with compassion. In this way, Pure Crystalline not only gained meaning and value in the high quality crystals and crystal skulls that I am trying to find a warm new home; it also brought an extra pure crystalline dimension to awareness, the workshops with the crystal skulls, my massage work, and mentoring, surrounded and supported by beautiful inspiring spiritual art. It has been a heartwarming journey of unraveling what was already there, but long forgotten; and bring back the pure joy for all of life...!

To inspire people about nature and remind them of their own pure crystalline nature, or their own true Buddha nature again: this is the core mission of Pure Crystalline. Which also happens to be the mission of the crystal skulls: they just “Are”, pure Love and Unity ...; and come to invite us to realize that within ourselves too!
